James Nelson of The Celtic Tenors returns to Opera Roots in May

Gianna Schicchi - by Puccini
at the BlackValley Opera Festival
Lismore Castle, Lismore,
Co. Waterford, Ireland
May 2020

Recently James Nelson (left), sent out word about an exciting new (but not so new) venture:

"Happy to announce that in between all of our Celtic Tenors tours, this May I'm getting the opportunity to briefly return to my opera roots, singing the character/ensemble role of Gherardo, one of the nasty money-grabbing relatives in Puccini's only comic opera 'Gianni Schicchi' - with the BlackValley Opera Festival, in the stunning surrounds of Lismore Castle.

Last time I sang the role was with Opera Holland Park, in London, in the late 1990's, just before becoming a Celtic Tenor."

Wishing you all the best James on this role.
Tickets can be purchased at the www.blackwatervalleyoperafestival.com.
